From the age of 19, when he made his first donation to United Way, Burt Blosser's life was defined by a simple, unwavering principle: show up for the people around you. That commitment grew into a decades-long legacy of generosity that shaped the greater Waynesboro area and Rockingham County in ways both seen and quietly felt.

As an insurance professional, Burt dedicated his career to protecting the agricultural families and farms of the Shenandoah Valley — work that was never just business, but an extension of the trust and integrity he brought to every relationship he built. Whether rallying behind a Little League team, supporting the Boy and Girl Scouts, or lending his name and resources to a local fundraiser, Burt was reliably the first to answer a call for help.

Beyond his community work, he was a devoted family man and an avid outdoorsman who lived fully — at home on the golf course, on the water, and wherever the people he loved gathered. His warmth was as much a part of him as his generosity.

The Burt Blosser Memorial Fund was established to honor that spirit and ensure it endures. Each year, friends, family, and colleagues come together on the golf course — a place Burt loved — to celebrate his life and carry forward his lifelong dedication to community.
